Beat & Wind from Japanasia

   

   On 7th and 8th March, 2010, the Embassy of Japan in the Sultanate of Oman, in close cooperation with the Japan Foundation, presented a concert under the title of “Beat & Wind from Japanasia”. The musical band “Ryu’s Beat with Kano & Saga” is a special unit which comprises three members ; Mr. Ryutaro Kaneko ( Japanese traditional drums ), Mr. Yasukazu Kano ( Shinobue ( Japanese bamboo flute ) ) and Mr. Haruhiko Saga ( Morin khuur, Throat-singing ). They played the fusion of the Japanese and continental Asian musical tunes at the American British Academy.

   On 7th March, 2010, the band presented a demonstration at the American British Academy for students of the Academy and the Royal Oman Symphony Orchestra.

   On 8th March, 2010, a main performance started with welcome greetings by H.E. Seiji Morimoto, Ambassador of Japan, and the audiences, in admiration for the great performance, applauded the musicians. After the performance, bouquets and memorial gifts to musicians were presented by the Embassy of Japan and the American British Academy.
