Summer Treat: Omani Pomegranates

Part of Al Hajar Mountain range in the northern Oman, Jabal Al Akhdar is a home of fruits in summer. Especially pomegranates is the main and most valuable fruit crop of the region. Omani pomegranate is as big as 10-15 cm in diameter and is known of very high quality both in terms of size and taste. Although each fruit could cost OR 8-10, it’s favored because of its rich and healthy nutrition such as vitamin C and polyphenols.
Jabal Al Akhdar is a popular destination in summer to escape from the harsh heat but also for the pomegranates lovers.
