The Reception of the Japanese National Day 

   

 The Reception of the Japanese National Day was held on 7th December at the Residence of H.E. Seiji Morimoto, Ambassador of Japan to the Sultanate of Oman, to celebrate the 77th Birthday of His Majesty Emperor Akihito of Japan .

    

  The reception was attended by H.E. Dr. Omar bin Abdul Muneim al Zawawi, Special Advisor to His Majesty for External Liaison, H.E. Mohammed bin Ali bin Juma Al-Zubair, Adviser to H.M. for Economic planning Affairs, H.E. Mohammed bin Nasser Al Khusaibi, Secretary General of the Ministry of National Economy, H.H. Sayyid Mohammed bin Salim Al Said, Chief of Protocol Department in Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Honorable Naif bin Obeid Al Salami, Member of State Council, Honorable Sheikh Mohammed bin Sakhr Al Amri, Member of the State Council, H.E. Younis bin Sabeel Al Balushi, Member of Majlis Ashura, H.E. Rashid bin Said Al Harrasi, Member of Majlis Ashura, H.E. Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Sarmi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, H.E. Engineer Ali bin Mohammed Al Abri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources for Water Resources Affairs and high-ranking government officials, representatives of dipromatic corps, private sectors, Japanese residents.

    

At the reception, the photographs of His Majesty Emperor Akihito of Japan , Her Majesty Empress Michiko of Japan and other Imperial Family members were projected on the screen to introduce the Japanese Imperial Family to Omani people.  A moth orchid sent for from Japan and other Japanese orchids were displayed to introduce and promote Japanese floriculture.  The guests enjoyed Japanese cuisine and confabulating with each other until late in the evening while showing interest in those displays.
