On 8th January, Ambassador George Hisaeda attended the Closing Ceremony of the Japanese language course that the Embassy held in cooperation with Muscat College. During the ceremony, Ambassador Hisaeda and Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al Gazali, Chairman of Muscat College handed a certificate to the students.

On 11th January, Ambassador George Hisaeda attended the Opening Ceremony of the International Maritime College of Oman in Sohar.
On 14th January, Ambassador George Hisaeda had a talk with H.E. Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Raisi, Commander of Royal Navy of Oman.
On 21st January, Ambassador George Hisaeda had a talk with Sayyid Khalid bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Busaidi, Chairman of Oman Football Association.
On 2nd February, Ambassador George Hisaeda visited the residence of Sayyid Khalid bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Busaidi, Chairman of Oman Football Association and exchanged views.
On 7th February, Ambassador George Hisaeda invited H.H. Sayyid Faisal bin Turki Al Said and his wife, Sayyida Fawsiya bint Hamed Al Busaidi, and H.H. Sayyida Basma bint Fakhri Al Said to his residence for a chat.
 
On 11th February, Ambassador George Hisaeda had a talk with H.E. Mohammed bin Al Zubair, Adviser to His Majesty the Sultan for Economic Planning Affairs.
On 13th February, Ambassador George Hisaeda had a talk with H.E. Dr. Rawyah bint Saud Al Busaidiyah.

On 25th February, Ambassador George Hisaeda invited Miss Najla Al Jabri and other Sultan Qaboos University students to his residence for a chat. Miss Al Jabri later visited visit Japan on a programme coordinated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan.
On 27th February, Ambassador George Hisaeda invited Ms. Rieko Morita, a Japanese painting artist and other relevant individuals to his residence for a chat.
On 4th March, Ambassador George Hisaeda had a talk with H.E. Dr. Omer bin Abdul Moneim Al Zawawi, Special Adviser to his Majesty the Sultan for External Liaison.
On 5th March, Ambassador George Hisaeda had a talk with H.E. Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib Al Busaidi, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs.
On 6th March, Ambassador George Hisaeda had a chat with Their Highnesses Sayyid Tariq bin Shabib bin Taimur Al Said and Sayyida Lamees.
On 6th March, Ambassador George Hisaeda visited the Royal Opera House and encouraged Mr. Eitetsu Hayashi and his troupe who were in the Sultanate for traditional Japanese drum performance.
On 11th March, Ambassador George Hisaeda had a talk with H.E. Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Busaidi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
On 11th March, Ambassador George Hisaeda held at his residence the Reception in Commemoration of the Great East Japan Earthquake - towards “Open Reconstruction”-.

On 20th March, Ambassador George Hisaeda had a talk with H.E. Engineer Ali bin Masoud bin Ali Al Senaidi, Minister of Commerce and Industry.
On 21st March, Ambassador George Hisaeda invited members of Omanga, a group of Manga fans in Muscat, to his residence for a chat.
On 24th March, Ambassador George Hisaeda invited Project Associate Professor Mariko Mori of the University of Tokyo, who was visiting Oman, and professors at Sultan Qaboos University to his residence and exchanged views.
On 25th March, Ambassador George Hisaeda had a talk with H.E. Sayyid Hamood bin Faisal bin Said Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior.
On 27th March, Ambassador George Hisaeda invited former scholarship students who studied in Japan and other individuals who are deeply connected with Japan to his residence for a chat.
