Nishimura accompanied Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's visit to Oman in January. Prime Minister Abe is Honorary Chairman of the Japan-Oman Association (Tokyo) . |

On 18th August, Ambassador George Hisaeda visited Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force vessel “Inazuma” which made a port call at Sultan Qaboos Port in Muscat. H.E. Hisaeda offered the highest encouragement to the personnel on board, and received a brief explanation about their duties. “Inazuma” was dispatched to the Gulf of Aden for a counter-piracy mission along with another vessel “Umigiri”. |
