On 13th November, Ambassador George Hisaeda hosted a reception to celebrate the re-launch and completion of the second term of a Japanese Language Course organized by the Oman-Japan Friendship Association. It is of great importance to promote the Japanese language in Oman to deepen understanding of Japan and its culture. |

Two of Ambassador Hisaeda’s personal photos, taken with his favorite compact digital camera, were showcased in the exhibition. |
On 30th November, Ambassador George Hisaeda attended the opening ceremony of the “Hiroshima, City of Peace” photography exhibition at Muscat Grand Mall, and made some opening remarks. The exhibition featured Hiroshima’s atomic bombing, reconstruction efforts, and path to becoming a City of Peace where tourism flourishes. The embassy of Japan organized the exhibition in cooperation with the City of Hiroshima, Oman-Japan Friendship Association and Hiroshima-Oman Friendship Association. |

Japan Day included lectures by Mr. Kenji Shiga, Director of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, and Ms. Midori Asoh, a Japanese Language Teacher. There was also a screening of Japanese movie ‘Happy Flight’. |
