Other Months On 1st July, Ambassador George Hisaeda had a meeting with the advanced team of the Japan Football Association in preparation for "Japan vs. Syria" in the Asian Qualifiers for FIFA World Cup 2018, which is scheduled for 8th October 2015 in Muscat. On 12th July, Ambassador George Hisaeda received Mr. Tatsuo Yasunaga, President & CEO of Mitsui Corporation at his residence, where they exchanged their views on the political and economic situation in the region, and the company’s activities.  
On 13th July, Ambassador George Hisaeda had a meeting with His Highness Sayyid Mohammed bin Salim Al-Said, Chief of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during which they exchanged views on the Japan – Oman friendship. 
On 13th July, Mr. Vivek Pareek, editor of ‘Signature’ magazine visited the Embassy to present the July issue of Signature magazine in which the Ambassador’s unique essay about sushi is featured. To read more, please click here.  
From 28th July to 31st July, Ambassador George Hisaeda attended a meeting for Ambassadors accredited to the Middle East and African region. Ambassador Hisaeda was honored to make some opening remarks as a representative of the Ambassadors attending the reception, which was hosted by the Middle East Institute of Japan (MEIJ) on 30th July in Tokyo.
On 3rd August, Ambassador George Hisaeda had a meeting with Mr. Isao Iijima, Special Advisor to the Cabinet of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at the office of the Prime Minister. Mr. Iijma visited Oman with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in January 2014, during which time they had a meeting at the Ambassador’s residence. 
On 3rd August, Ambassador George Hisaeda and Madame Hisaeda visited the Japan Football Association (JFA) and exchanged views on international cultural exchange through sports with Mr. Junji Ogura, Honorary Chairman of JFA. The picture shows the Ambassador receiving a commemorative gift to mark the 50th anniversary of the Japan football League from Mr. Ogura. On 31st August, Ambassador George Hisaeda and Madame Hisaeda had a meeting with Ms. Tomoko Kojima, Managing Director of Purewells LLC. Ms. Kojima (the second from left on the first picture) introduced her newly-launched-product, luxury frankincense candy. This luxurious candy is made of the best grade frankincense from Salalah and Japanese candy with old-line craftsmanship from Kyoto, Japan. The beautiful gift boxes are made by the Omani Women’s Group. It is expected that this frankincense candy will further enhance the Oman-Japan relationship.  
On 3rd September, Ambassador George Hisaeda was invited to a 2018 World Cup qualifier match (Oman vs Turkmenistan) at Seeb Sports Stadium, where he talked with H.E. Sheikh Saad al Sa'adi, Minister of Sports Affairs and other high-ranking Omani officials. 
On 15th September, Ambassador George Hisaeda visited Oman Football Association(OFA) and exchanged views on international cultural exchange through football with Sayyid Khalid Al Busaidi, Chairman of OFA. 
On 17th September, Ambassador George Hisaeda hosted a dinner at his residence in honor of Ms. Muna Mohamed Al-Habsi, graduate of Sultan Qaboos University(SQU), who will study at Kyoto University of Japan from this fall under Japan’s MEXT scholarship program 2015. The event was attended by Dr. Mohammed Saad Al-Muqadam, Assistant Professor, History Department, SQU as well as students from SQU, MEXT scholarship Program alumni, and those who are studying Japanse.
