Other Months On 5th October, Ambassador George Hisaeda visited a practice session by the Japanese National football team with children from the Japanese community in Oman. He gave encouragement to the players.
On 6th October, Ambassador George Hisaeda hosted a salon concert at his residence. The concert was performed by three acclaimed Japanese musicians. They performed classic pieces by Mendelssohn, Chopin, Saint-Saëns and Rossini. Dignitaries, members of the Diplomatic Corps, media, and artists in Oman were present and enjoyed the performance.
On 8th October, Ambassador George Hisaeda watched a football match for the 2018 FIFA world Cup Asian Second Qualifying match (Japan vs Syria) with the President of the Japan Football Association (JFA), Mr. Kuniya Daini. Japan defeated Syria 3-0.
After the match, Ambassador Hisaeda and Mr. Kuniya Daini praised their success and shook hands with Japan Coach, Mr. Halilhodzic and Mr. Keisuke Honda, one of the Japanese National football team. Mr. Honda won the penalty kick which was first goal in this match.
On 8th October, Ambassador George Hisaeda invited members of the Japan Football Association (JFA), Fuji-Television, and the representatives of the Japanese community in Oman to his residence to celebrate the success of Japan in their football match with Syria and the promotion of Mr. Kozo Tashima, Vice President of JFA, to FIFA Administrative Director. On 19th October, H.E. George Hisaeda and his wife invited members of the Japan Fan Club (JFC) to their residence. The members are interested in the Japanese language from Japanese comics and anime, so they have started to learn Japanese. They have participated in many activities as the most enthusiastic members since the JFC was established in 2012. This picture was taken when they presented a commemorative gift to the Ambassador. On 22nd October, H.E. George Hisaeda invited Mrs. Suad Al-Mudhaffar (formerly Mihoko MORITA) who is author of the book “ Sabaku ni Tsukutta Sekaiichi no Gakkou(or World-best School Found in the Desert)” and had a talk with her and executives of the Japanese community. She energetically works on the development of the relationship between Japan and Oman. On 24th Oct, H.E. George Hisaeda invited a delegation from the bank of MIZUHO who were visiting Oman to his residence and exchanged views, such as the latest situation in Oman. On 25th Oct, H.E. George Hisaeda attended the signing ceremony for the establishment of the Gulf Japan Food Fund between Japan and Gulf countries, and made some congratulatory remarks. The fund was established jointly by investers from Japan and GCC nations under the view of improving export of food product and food security. Oman is the largest investor among GCC nations therefore the ceremony was held in Muscat. H.E. Eng. Ali bin Masoud bin Ali al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry, H.E. Fuad bin Jaffer bin Mohammed al Sajwani, Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, and concerned parties have attended the ceremony from Oman while delegate of Mizuho Bank, largest investor from Japanese side and representatives of other parties. On 26th October, H.E. George Hisaeda visited H.E. Mohammed bin Al Zubair, Advisor to His Majesty the Sultan for Economic Planning Affairs and exchanged views on Japan-Oman bilateral relations. On 29th October, H.E. George Hisaeda had a meeting at his residence with Mr. Shinya Nakano, President of the Japanese school in Oman, and executives of the Japanese community. The Japanese school is essential for parents who want their children to study the Japanese curriculum while living overseas. On 2nd November, H.E. George Hisaeda and his wife invited Omani guests and members of the Diplomatic Corps in Oman for a Japanese cultural event “Sushi Party”. After H.E. Hisaeda made a speech about sushi, the guests enjoyed not only the taste of sushi, but also seeing the Ambassador’s chef prepare the food. On 3rd November, H.E. George Hisaeda and his wife were invited to a farewell banquet by H.E. Mohammed bin Al Zubair, Advisor to His Majesty the Sultan for Economic Planning Affairs and had a talk with eminent people from various fields. On 4th November, H.E. George Hisaeda and his wife were invited to a farewell ceremony by executives of the Japanese community in Oman. On 8th November, H.E. George Hisaeda visited H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Salim al Futaisi, Minister of Transport and Communications, and bid farewell. On 9th November, H.E. George Hisaeda was invited to a farewell ceremony and had a meeting with Oman's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representatives of Diplomatic Missions. In this picture, H.E. Hisaeda receives a commemorative gift, a ‘Khanjar’ (Oman’s traditional ornamental dagger). On 9th November, H.E Gorge Hisaeda held a reception at his residence to mark his departure from Oman. Almost 250 people attended, including members of Oman’s Royal Family, political, military, bureaucratic and business personnel, diplomats and academics.
On 12th November, H.E. George Hisaeda visited H.E. Eng. Ali bin Masoud bin Ali al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce and Industry, to bid farewell and exchange views about economic relations between Japan and Oman. On 12th November, H.E. George Hisaeda watched a friendly international soccer match “Oman vs New Zealand” with members of the diplomatic corps in Oman. H.E. Hisada is a big fan of soccer and is known as one of the ambassadors who frequently watches international games in Oman. George Hisaeda visited the French Embassy and signed a book of condolences following an act of terrorism in Paris on 13th November. On 16th November, H.E. George Hisaeda visited H.E.
