Embassy of Japan's activities
On 16th July 2017, H.E. Mitsugu Saito, Ambassador of Japan to the Sultanate of Oman met Dr. Mohammed Bin Awad Al Hassan, Acting Undersecretary at the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs. During the meeting, both sides reviewed bilateral ties between Oman and Japan and ways to develop it in all fields.
On 21st July 2017, H.E. Mitsugu Saito, Ambassador of Japan to the Sultanate of Oman hosted an event to introduce Japanese cuisine and foodstuffs to hotel managers in Muscat at his residence in cooperation with Mr. Takahashi, a Japanese chef.
On 23rd July 2017, H.E. Mitsugu Saito, Ambassador of Japan to the Sultanate of Oman introduced Honorable Asahiko Mihara and Honorable Daishiro Yamagiwa members of the House of Representatives of Japan to H.E. Dr. Ali bin Masoud Bin Ali Al Sunaidi, Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Sultanate of Oman. During the meeting, they discussed trade relations between the two friendly countries and means of enhancing them. The meeting was attended by a number of officials from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
They also visited Al Ghubrah Independent Water Producer (IWP). The visit was attended by officials from Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation, major shareholder of the project.
The Japanese Ambassador hosted a dinner for them at his residence before their departure, inviting the Japanese companies’ representatives based in Muscat.
From 18th to 19th September 2017, H.E. Masahisa Sato, State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan visited the Sultanate of Oman. During his visit, he met H.E. Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Secretary General of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman accompanied H.E. Mitsugu Saito, Ambassador of Japan to the Sultanate of Oman. During the meeting, they discussed relations between the two friendly countries and means of enhancing them. The meeting was attended by a number of officials from the both side. They also visited Sultan’s Armed Forces Museum and Musandam.
The Japanese Ambassador hosted a dinner for the State Minister at his residence, inviting the Japanese companies’ representatives based in Muscat.
