Demonstration of Japanese traditional drum "Wadaiko" and Japanese traditional martial arts "Iaido" and "Aikido"

   On Tuesday 1^st December 2009, the Embassy of Japan held a demonstration of Japanese traditional martial arts and Japanese traditional drum “Wadaiko” at Oman Karate Do Centre in cooporation with Japanese school teachers and Japanese residents in Muscat.

   The event was aimed at promoting the friendly ties between Japan and the Sultanate of Oman through the demonstration of these Japanese traditional perfomances.

   On the occasion of this event, black belt awarding ceremony was held. H. E. Seiji Morimoto, the Ambassador of Japan, presented the certificates and black belts accompanied with commemorative gifts to the children who have been promoted to the rank of the black belt.
