Ambassador Yamamoto is given an audience by H.H. Sayyid Theyazin, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth (June 15)


On June 15, Ambassador Yamamoto was given an audience by H.H. Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham bin Tarik Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth and discussed topics including youth exchanges, 2025 Osaka/Kansai Expo and bilateral relations between Japan and Oman. H.H. Theyazin is also charging the Omani National Committee on 2025 Osaka/Kansai Expo.

On June 15, Ambassador Yamamoto hosted a networking reception at his residence for the former Omani participants of Ship for World Youth program.
Japanese Embassy and Children’s Public Library Organize a Kamishibai storytelling workshop (July 15)
On July 15, the Japanese Embassy and the Children’s Public Library organized a Japanese storytelling, Kamishibai, workshop featuring a story from Japanese children’s literature ‘The Story of Shiro’. The kamishibai was narrated both in Arabic and English by professional storytellers and some activities related to the story gave children the opportunities to enjoy a unique cultural experience.






The Liquefied Hydrogen Carrier “Suiso Frontier” comes to Muscat (August 16)


On August 16, the world first liquefied hydrogen carrier “Suiso Frontier” manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries arrived at Sultan Qaboos Port, Muscat. H.E. Salim Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, H.E. Mohsin Al Hadhrami, Undersecretary of Ministry of Energy and Minerals and other Omani officials received the briefing about the ship and discussed the future Japan-Oman cooperation in the area of hydrogen industry with Ambassador Yamamoto, Kawasaki Heavy Industries and other Japanese officials. This ship is an experimental station, conducting research and development.
