Japanese Embassy and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth cohost an exhibition ‘I love Sushi’ (December 7-16)
The Japanese Embassy and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth co-hosted the Japan Foundation’s travelling exhibition ‘I Love Sushi’ at Al Araimi Boulevard from December 7th to 16th. Under the patronage of HE Khalid Al Muslahi, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry, the opening ceremony was held on 7th, and Ambassador Yamamoto welcomed the guests and visitors, hoping that the exhibition would stimulate fisheries in Oman.
Ambassador awards Japan Foreign Minister’s Commendation 2023 to Oman Karate Committee at Oman Karate Championship (December 9)
Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendation was awarded to Oman Karate Committee in recognition of its contribution to promoting Japan-Oman friendship. Karate has been long beloved and practiced by many people in Oman.
On the occasion of closing ceremony of Oman Karate Championship on Dec 9, Ambassador Yamamoto presented the commendation certificate to HE Sheikh Salem Al Mahrouqi, Chairman of Oman Karate Committee, member of the Shura Council, in the presence of HE Khalid Hilal Al-Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council and many other distinguished council members.

On 25th December, Embassy of Japan and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth hosted a reception in the presence of HE Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef to announce Oman’s participation for Expo 2025 Osaka/Kansai.
Ambassador of Japan HE Jota Yamamoto and HE Saeed Sultan Al Busaidi, as the co-hosts of the event, hoped that the Expo will further deepen the friendship between the two countries, and enhance collaboration to design a better future society for our lives.
