Lunch Reception for Manga Seminar (September 1)
On September 1, the Embassy of Japan organized a reception, in celebration of the commencement of “Ryoma Manga Seminar” in Sur, “the Arab Tourism Capital for 2024”. The event welcomed many notable guests, including H.E. Yousef bin Salem bin Nasser Al-Mukhaini, Member of the Shura Council representing the Wilayat of Sur, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth.
In his speech, Ambassador Yamamoto expressed gratitude for the opportunity to present Japanese culture in Sur, a historically and culturally rich city. He also reaffirmed the significant role that manga plays in strengthening the friendship between Japan and Oman.
Following the reception, the Ambassador visited the manga seminar and interacted with the participants.

Ambassador Wives' Group (AWG) Reception (September 24)
On September 24, Mrs. Etsuko Yamamoto, wife of the Ambassador of Japan, hosted the Ambassador Wives' Group (AWG) event. On this occasion, Mrs. Yamamoto delivered a PR speech on EXPO 2025 Osaka/Kansai, explaining the significance of the EXPO, the attractions of Osaka and the Kansai Region, and Oman's active involvement. To immerse the guests in a Japanese ambience, Ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement) was displayed, and Japanese food was served. Between the speech and the meal, the Ambassador Yamamoto and his wife gave a mini-concert and the guests enjoyed listening to the harmonies.





Ambassador Yamamoto Meets with Mr. Moosa, the CEO of Atheer Media (September 26)
On September 26, Ambassador Yamamoto met with Mr. Moosa Al Farei, the CEO of Atheer Media and Electronic Publishing, who recently visited Japan. They exchanged insights on Japanese culture and history and discussed youth exchanges between Japan and Oman, along with the upcoming EXPO 2025 Osaka/Kansai.
