Signing of MoU between Chiyoda Corporation and OPAL(October 7)
On October 7, Chiyoda Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding with the Oman Energy Association (OPAL) regarding the training program for Omani university graduates in the engineering fields, in the presence of H.E. Mohsin Al Hadhrami, Undersecretary of Ministry of Energy and Minerals, and Ambassador of Japan H.E. Jota Yamamoto. 10 Omani youth visited Japan and took part in the program in July.
This program will facilitate Oman Vision 2040 and contribute to further enhancing in the ties between Oman and Japan.

Embassy Participates in EduTraC Oman (October 13 - 15)
From October 13 to 15, the Embassy of Japan participated in the Higher Education, Training & Career Expo “EduTraC Oman,” held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC). We set up a joint booth with J-MENA, based in Kyushu University. With the cooperation of Omanis who have studied in Japan, we introduced visitors to academic programs and scholarship opportunities available at Japanese universities.

Ambassador Yamamoto Meets with Mr. Hori, Founder & President of GLOBIS (October 31)
On October 31, Ambassador Yamamoto met with Mr. Yoshito Hori, the founder and president of GLOBIS Corporation & GLOBIS University. They exchanged views on economic relations between Japan and Oman, as well as social and cultural matters.
