Ambassador and Mrs. Yamamoto Cheer on Japan Women’s Hockey Junior Team (December 14)
On December 14, Ambassador Jota Yamamoto and Mrs. Etsuko Yamamoto cheered on the Japan Women’s Hockey Junior National Team during their participation in the Junior Asia Cup in Muscat. Their support came as the team secured a spot in the FIH Junior World Cup 2025.
On the following day, the Ambassador attended the closing ceremony, where he congratulated Ms. Hanami Saito, who was honored as the "Rising Star of the Tournament."

Japanese Culture Promoted at Pop Culture Event "968GameZ" (December 19-21)
From December 19 to 21, the Embassy of Japan participated in "968GameZ," the largest pop culture event held in Muscat. The Embassy showcased various aspects of Japanese culture, including calligraphy, origami, and yukata-wearing experiences. Additionally, on December 20 and 21, Kendo demonstrations were held on stage, and the event concluded with great success.
JCCME Business mission: OCCI Business Seminer and Reception by Ambassador (December 15)
On December 15, a business mission led by the Middle East Cooperation Centre, consisting of 8 Japanese companies, visited Oman and held a business seminar at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), as attended by HE Faisal, OCCI Chairman, and HE Ambassador Yamamoto. The members had a BtoB session with the Omani private sectors to discuss cooperation and opportunities, particularly in the field of climate technology.
On the same day, Ambassador Yamamoto hosted a reception for the mission members, where they exchanged views on Oman’s business environment and potential with representatives of Japanese companies based in Oman.

JCCME Business Mission's courtesy visit to the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion (December 19)
On December 19, a Business Mission led by Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East (JCCME) and HE Ambassador Yamamoto paid a courtesy call on HE Qais, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, and exchanged views on further enhancing the economic relations between Oman and Japan and partnerships with Japanese companies.
Participation in Al Roya Business Award (December 19)
On December 19th, Ambassador Yamamoto and the business mission led by JCCME attended “Al Roya Business Award” by Al Roya Newspaper at Sheraton. Japan was selected as the guest of honor for 2024, and companies that have contributed to Japan-Oman relations were awarded.
