Ambassador Yamamoto Meets with Japanese Hanabi Companies (January 19)
On January 19th, Ambassador Yamamoto met with a delegation of five Japanese hanabi (fireworks) companies, including Saiki Fireworks Co., Ltd. from Yamanashi Prefecture. The group had visited Oman to showcase their hanabi at the Palace in Manah, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, on January 16th, as part of the celebration of His Majesty the Sultan’s Accession Day.
On the same day, the hanabi team participated in an interview with Mr. Kabeer Yousuf, a journalist from the Oman Observer. During the interview, they discussed the unique features of the hanabi they had launched and shared their experiences in preparing for the event.

Farewell Party for Ship for World Youth (SWY) Participants (January 22)
On January 22, Ambassador Jota Yamamoto received a call from the Oman Ship for World Youth (SWY) Committee and participants of the 2024 program at his residence and hosted a farewell party. The Ambassador encouraged the delegation to benefit from the visit and enhance friendship.




Ambassador's Dinner with Japanese and Omani Academic Reps (January 29)
On January 29, Ambassador Jota Yamamoto hosted a dinner at his official residence, taking the opportunity of the visit by Prof. Mamoru Mitsuishi, President of the Science Council of Japan, and Prof. Motoko Kotani, Science and Technology Co-Advisor to the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, who were in Oman for the Third General Assembly of the International Science Council. The dinner was attended by local academic figures and provided a platform for discussions aimed at further strengthening bilateral academic relations between Japan and Oman.
