Ambassador Serizawa Presents Credentials to HM Sultan Haitham (April 9)
On April 9, Ambassador Kiyoshi Serizawa presented his credentials to His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik at Al Baraka Palace. During the ceremony, Ambassador Serizawa conveyed a message from His Majesty Naruhito, the Emperor of Japan, to His Majesty Sultan Haitham.
Ambassador Serizawa also expressed his strong commitment to further strengthening the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Japan and the Sultanate of Oman.

Ambassador Serizawa Meets with Dr. Oki from Kyushu University (April 10)
On April 10, Ambassador Kiyoshi Serizawa met with Dr. Yutaroh Oki from Kyushu University. Dr. Oki was visiting Muscat to participate in the Global Higher Education Exhibition (GHEDEX).
During their meeting, they discussed opportunities for Omani students to study in Japan and exchanged views on Japan’s education system. Dr. Oki, who serves as a Project Manager & Advisor of J-MENA Project of Kyushu University, also spoke about the J-MENA’s efforts to connect students in the region.

Embassy Staff Promotes Expo2025 Osaka/Kansai on OmanTV (April 20)
On April 20, Ms. Hinako Tomozoe, Secretary at the Embassy of Japan, appeared live on the OmanTV program “Qahwat Al Sabah (Morning Coffee)” for an interview, where she discussed the significance of international participation in the Expo2025 Osaka/Kansai and highlighted some of the event’s key attractions.

On April 21, Ambassador Kiyoshi Serizawa met with Mr. Toru Takahashi, President & CEO of GLOBIS Europe BV, and Ms. Aiste Dewulf, CLO & BDO. During the meeting, Ambassador Serizawa received a briefing on the company’s activities in Oman and exchanged views on Japan-Oman economic relations.
