Ambassador Serizawa Meets with Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs (May 5)

 On May 5, Ambassador Kiyoshi Serizawa paid a courtesy call on H.E. Ambassador Khalid Hashil Almuslahi, Undersecretary for Administrative and Financial Affairs at the Foreign Ministry of Oman and exchanged views on ways to strengthen Japan-Oman relations in various fields. They also reminisced about the Undersecretary's time as Ambassador to Japan and shared their experiences in each other's countries.

Ambassador Serizawa Meets with Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs (May 7)

 On May 7, Ambassador Kiyoshi Serizawa paid a courtesy call on H.H. Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs. Their discussions covered recent high-level engagements in the defence sector as well as bilateral economic relations.

Ambassador Serizawa Meets with Minister of Royal Office (May 11)

 On May 11, Ambassador Kiyoshi Serizawa paid a courtesy call on H.E. General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office. They exchanged views on international developments and reaffirmed the friendly bilateral relations between Japan and Oman, including the close ties fostered through engagements between the Imperial and Royal Families.

Vice Minister for Global Environment Affarirs Yutaka Matsuzawa attends the Oman Sustainability Week (May 12)

 On May 12, Vice Minister for Global Environment  Affairs Yutaka Matsuzawa of the Ministry of the Environment of Japan visited Oman to attend the Oman Sustainability Week(OSW). He held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Mohsin Al Hadhrami, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals (MEM) of Oman, as well as exchanged views with government officials and Japanese companies.
  
       
               

Meeting Between Vice Minister Matsuzawa and H.E.Eng.Ahmed Hamed Al-Subhi, Chairman of Be’ah (May 12)

 On May 12, Vice Minister for Global Environmental Affairs Yutaka Matsuzawa of the Ministry of the Environment of Japan participated in a meeting with H.E. Eng. Ahmed Hamed Al-Subhi, Chairman of  the Oman National Waste Management Company, Be’ah. During the meeting, they exchanged views on carbon credits as well as waste treatment and recycling, and discussed challenges in Oman’s waste management sector, including food residue handling and increasing pressure on landfill capacity, reaffirming their commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation in this field.
