Ambassador Serizawa Meets with Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources (July 22)
On July 22, Ambassador Kiyoshi Serizawa paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Saud bin Hamood bin Ahmed Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources. They exchanged views on technical cooperation and other matters in the fields of agriculture and fisheries.
Conferment Ceremony in honor of Mr. Prakashan Kuniyil Kundancheri (July 24)
On July 24, Ambassador Serizawa conferred the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Silver Rays upon Mr. Prakashan Kuniyil Kundancheri, a former local staff member of the Embassy of Japan in Oman, in recognition of his long-standing contributions to the Embassy.
The conferment ceremony was attended by Mr. Prakashan's family and friends, as well as Embassy staff. Asianet News, a Kerala-based media outlet in India, Mr. Prakashan's home state, covered the ceremony.

Ambassador Serizawa Meets with Governor of Dhofar (July 27)
On July 27, Ambassador Serizawa paid a courtesy visit to H.H. Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar. Their discussion focused mainly on the economic and investment landscape in the Dhofar region. The Ambassador also expressed Japan’s appreciation for the Governor’s support regarding the port calls made by units of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force in Salalah.
