Ambassador Serizawa Visits Oman Newspaper and Oman Observer Headquarters (September 15)
On September 15, Ambassador Kiyoshi Serizawa visited the headquarters of Oman Newspaper and the Oman Observer, where he met with Mr. Asim Al Shaidi, Editor-in-Chief of Oman Newspaper, and Mr. Abdullah Al Shueili, Editor-in-Chief of the Oman Observer. Their discussions focused on regional developments.

Commander of JS HARUSAME and Delegation Pay Courtesy Call on Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (September 18)
On September 18, CDR Makoto Ozawa, Commanding Officer of JS HARUSAME which is serving as the 51st Deployment Surface Force for Counter Piracy Enforcement (DSPE), paid a courtesy call on RADM Saif bin Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman. CDR Ozawa was accompanied by CDR Hiroaki Matsubara, Leader of the Japan Coast Guard’s Somalia Dispatched Investigation Team, and CAPT Masahiro Kihara, Defense Attaché to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (also accredited to Oman).
During the visit, CDR Ozawa, on behalf of ADM Akira Saito, Chief of Staff, Maritime Self-Defense Force, presented RADM Al Rahbi with a gift - photographs of cherry blossoms in Japan - as a token of goodwill.

Ambassador Serizawa Atends the Stamp Event at the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai (September 19)
On September 19, Ambassador Kiyoshi Serizawa attended the launch event of the commemorative stamp issued to mark Oman’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. The stamp serves as a symbol of Oman’s civilizational and cultural journey. The Ambassador also exchanged views on the Expo with H.E.Qais bin Mohammed bin Moosa Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Vice-Chairman of Oman Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai, and H.E. Sayyid Said bin Sultan Al Busaidi, Undersecretary for Culture and Commissioner General of Oman Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai.

On September 20, Ambassador Kiyoshi Serizawa visited Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai along with Yoshitake Ito, Minister for th World Expo 2025 to participate in the Oman National Day. From the Omani side, His Highness Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said, H.E. Qais bin Mohammed bin Moosa Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion and Vice-Chairman of Oman Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka kansai, H.E. Saeed Sultan Al Busaidi, Undersecretary for Culture and Commissioner General of Oman Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka kansai and H.E. Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Alharthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs.

On September 28, Ambassador Kiyoshi Serizawa attended the signing ceremony of the Agricultural Development Plan Project in the Najd area (Cost-Share Technical Cooperation). From Omani Side, H.H. Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar, H.E. Dr. Saud bin Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, H.E. Dr. Ahmed bin Nasser Al Bakri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources and H.E.Dr. Ahmed Al Ghassani, Mayor of Dhofar.
