Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) Signing Ceremony (April 9)

 On April 9, H.E. Ambassador Kiyoshi Serizawa signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) on the Establishment of a Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM). It was signed by H.E. Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi from the Omani side. and The Signing Ceremony was attended by a number of Omani senior officials and dignitaries and Japanese companies.
 

  

Ambassador Serizawa Attends the Oman Horse Racing Club’s Final Race of the Season (April 18)

 On April 18, Ambassador Kiyoshi Serizawa attended the final horse race of the season at the invitation of the Oman Horse Racing Club. He experienced a part of Oman’s horse racing culture and was impressed by the beauty and strength of the purebred Arabian horses.


 

Cultural Section Attends HaybaMUN Opening Ceremony (April 24)

 On 24 April, the Embassy’s Cultural Section attended the opening ceremony of HaybaMUN, a student-run Model United Nations conference led by Secretary-General Mr. Mohamad Hijazi.

 

 

Ambassador Serizawa Gives Interview to the Oman Observer, Explains the Significance of the JCM (April 30)

 On April 30, Ambassador Kiyoshi Serizawa gave an interview to the Oman Observer and shared his views on the future outlook of Japan-Oman economic relations.
 During the interview, he highlighted the Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) on the Establishment of the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM), signed on April 9, as a key step in strengthening environmental cooperation and advancing efforts toward a decarbonized society.
