Pop Culture Event at Majan University College (May 5)

 On May 5, the Embassy’s Cultural Section held a meeting with faculty members led by Dr. Maha Kobeil, the Dean & CEO of Majan University College (MUC).
 This was followed by our participation in the “Majan Gaming Festival,” a pop culture event held at the university, where we jointly set up a Japan-themed booth with the university’s anime club.

 

 

H.E. Mr. Yamada, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry visits Oman (May 9)

   On May 9, H.E. Mr. Kenji Yamada, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, visited the Sultanate of Oman and met with H.E. Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals, and Mr. Ashraf Al Mamari, Group Chief Executive Officer of OQ, to discuss future opportunities for cooperation between Japan and Oman.
  It is expected that this visit will further strengthen the cooperative relationship between our two countries in a wide range of fields, particularly in the energy sector.
 
 

Ambassador Serizawa Presents Books to Muscat University under the Read Japan Project (May 11)

 On May 11, Ambassador Kiyoshi Serizawa visited Muscat University and presented 64 books donated under the “Read Japan Project,” implemented by The Tokyo Foundation to promote understanding of Japan.
 The ceremony was attended by Mr. Khalil Al Khonji, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Prof. Khamis Al Yahyaee, Vice-Chancellor of the university, and students from the university’s Japan Club, among others.

Ambassador Serizawa Attends Oman Petroleum & Energy Show and Oman Sustainability Week (OSW) 2026 (May 18)

 On May 18, Ambassador Kiyoshi Serizawa attended Oman Petroleum & Energy Show and Oman Sustainability Week 2026. At the exhibition venue, he visited the booths of Japanese companies and learned about their business activities.
