Ambassador hosts a welcome reception for the Team Japan of World Veteran Table Tennis Championship 2023, Muscat, Oman. (Jan.18)
On January 18th, Ambassador Yamamoto hosted a welcome reception for the Japanese participants in the World Veteran Table Tennis Championship 2023, Muscat, Oman.
The Ambassador expressed his pleasure that Oman held the Championship for the first time in the Middle East, hoping everyone would cherish the wonderful bond established in Oman.
The Team Japan did well in the competition, winning gold medals in the singles and doubles categories.

Ambassador Yamamoto hosts a reception in honor of GUtech (January 29)

On January 29, Ambassador Yamamoto invited Dr. Michael Braun, Rector of GUtech, faculties and students of GUtech. Ambassador showed his appreciation to GUtech for their cooperation to cohost Japanese craft art exhibition “Contemporary Wood-Carved Netsuke” organized by the Japan Foundation in November and December 2022. Students who volunteered the exhibition by escorting visitors said that they could learn Japanese culture which were new to them and that the volunteering experience made them want to know more about Japan. The Embassy of Japan is committed to further developing cooperation with GUtech.
