Prime Minister Kishida’s visit to the Gulf region

 From July 16 to 18, Mr. KISHIDA Fumio, Prime Minister of Japan, visited Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. In Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister  received a courtesy call from His Excellency Jasem Al Budaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council. Following the talks, they issued a joint statement on the resumption of the Japan-GCC Free Trade Agreement. They also agreed to hold the Japan-GCC Foreign Minister’s Meeting on regular basis.
