Ambassador Serizawa Meets with Governor of Al Batinah North (June 3)

 On June 3, Ambassador Serizawa paid a courtesy visit to H.E Mohammed bin Sulaiman bin Hamood Al-Kindi, Governor of Al Batinah North. Their discussion focused mainly on the economic and investment landscape in the Al Batinah North region.

Ambassador Serizawa Visits Sohar Port and Freezone (June 4)

 On June 4, Ambassador Serizawa visited Sohar Port and Freezone. In a meeting with Dr. Al Rubaiey Sohar Freezone CEO and Mr. Hoogsteden Sohar Port CEO, they exchanged views on the potential for further collaboration with Japanese companies in the future.
 
 

Ambassador Serizawa Visits Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Sohar (June 4)

 On June 4, Ambassador Serizawa visited the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Sohar. During the visit, Ambassador was briefed on the mosque's history and its attached facilities.

   

Bonsai Introduction Events Held at the National Museum and Local Venues (June 25 & 27)

 On June 25 and 27, our Embassy held bonsai events featuring Mr. Kanta Hirota, the third-generation head of Toju-en Bonsai Garden, at the National Museum, the Japanese restaurant TAKARA (the InterContinental Hotel), and Rocas Restaurant (Al Mouj).
 The event at the National Museum was attended by H.E. Jamal Al Moosawi, Secretary General of the National Museum, and H.E. Ambassador Kiyoshi Serizawa. H.E. Serizawa delivered opening remarks at the event. The text of the Ambassador's remarks is available here.
